Balance, probably one of the hardest things in life to master. But can one really be "great" at this balance thing? I know I am having a difficult time balancing certain aspects of life ever since my daily routine changed. I wrote my last post right around the time that I started a new job and because it took some time to adjust to my new life, I completely put Candidly Navy on the back burner. I know, so sad because I truly am passionate about putting content together. I love all of it, putting outfits together, picking a location, shooting, research, writing, and editing; it's a lot of work but so much fun!
Now that I'm feeling much more comfortable with my job, I am ready to dedicate more time and energy into my blog. By the way, can I just say how much I love my job, lol. I also write a blog there, manage social media, some PR, along other fun stuff. Definitely doesn't feel like work a lot of the time, but by the time 5pm hits, I can feel my brain shutting down and my body being ready to relax and not move for sometime.
Outside if work, I most definitely prioritize my husband and our pups, my family, and let's not forget my baby niece, Stella. Staying active is also very important to me, I wake up at 4:40am during the week to get my workout in before starting to get ready for work, hence why I'm pretty beat by 5pm. It really does become very easy to come home, prep lunch for the next day, and then sit down and relax. With that being said, I need to make it a goal of mine to take time out of my day to write and brainstorm ideas for Candidly Navy.
One thing I must say is that in order to come close to reaching some sort of balance, I need to learn to slow down. My brain works in weird ways sometimes, I'm a total thinker, so I need to calm down and take a break. Maybe I'll be more productive that way, right? Balance also goes hand in hand with time management, which is something that I can also improve on. Anyway, if you have some tips as to how you find balance in your life, do share.
