Happy first day of winter! I live in Orange County and we have just started to experience semi cold weather, although I don't think it will last. Mornings are freezing but by noon it's typically bright, sunny, and warm; I guess you can say that were lucky in that sense. I really can't complain but at times I do long for chilly weather and snowy days where I can bundle up on layer and layers of clothing.
This outfit here is perfect for a winter day in OC, its just the right amount of warm and cozy, well if you throw on a coat. I wanted to make the blue velvet over the knee boots the main focus, hence, why I went with gray hues up top. Monochromatic looks are so impactful and appealing to me, I love them. It also doesn't hurt that over the knee boots keep you warm while wearing a skirt and showing just the right amount on leg.
Quick side story. Growing up, I was completely obsessed with boots, nothing has changed really because boots are still my go to shoe. OTB were the craze in the 90's; my mom tells me that I wanted a pair so badly and she took me to try them on, I couldn't walk in them, big fail! They were a no go for me back in the day but now I'm able to not only walk in them but strut!
Skirt (Gray is sold out but different colors here)
